Last weekend, the EuroHockey Competitions Committee Outdoor met in Milano, Italy, for its second meeting of the year.
Thank you to the Italian Federation for hosting the meeting.
The Committee reviewed the Euro Hockey League, EuroHockey club events 2026, EuroHockey 5s U16 Championships 2026, EuroHockey U21 Championships 2026 EuroHockey 5s Senior Championships 2026 and the EuroHockey Championship Qualifiers 2026. It was noted that all events went well with some suggestions made here and there. The teams that won the various events were congratulated, and all hosts were again thanked for their tremendous work. The Committee wanted to state also how grateful they are for the work and dedication of all the volunteer Officials and Umpires, without whom the events couldn’t be held. Thanks!
Moreover, updates were received on the EuroHockey U18 Championships 2027 in Belgium, Austria, Switzerland, Croatia and Slovakia.
The Committee considered the entries and applications to host the 2027 EuroHockey Club Championships. The hosts have been informed, and the venues and pools will be announced tomorrow, 23rd September.
The Committee considered the entries and applications to host the 2027 EuroHockey Championships (II and III). Recommendations for the awarding of these Championships were made to the EuroHockey executive board. These will be announced in due course as soon as the board has approved them.
They received updates on FIH events and discussed some (regulations) questions. Any changes (if needed) will be published in due course in the various sets of Regulations and Event Manuals.
The next committee meeting will be in March 2027 in Brussels.
