Belgium will host the biggest joint male and female EuroHockey Indoor Championships yet when the welcome the event in January 2030, coinciding perfectly with the 200th anniversary of Belgium.
Hosted at the prestigious Brussels Expo, the championships will feature two elite indoor pitches, seating for up to 5,000 spectators, and cutting-edge facilities designed to deliver an exceptional experience for athletes, officials and fans.
Taking place during Belgium’s bicentenary celebrations, the event will form part of a wider programme of major cultural and sporting occasions planned in the capital.
It follows the country’s superb hosting of the 2024 men’s Euro indoors in Leuven while they will also be able to lean on the big event organisation experience from this year’s World Cup.
This edition will be the second time that the men’s and women’s championships are staged simultaneously, expanding significantly on Hamburg’s joint hosting in 2022. This time, 10 nations will take part in each competition.

Serge Pilet, CEO of the Royal Belgian Hockey Association, added: “This award is excellent news for Belgian (indoor) hockey! In 2018 and 2024, we already had the privilege of hosting the men’s EuroHockey Indoor Championships in Antwerp and Leuven.
“This time, however, we will welcome both the men’s and women’s Championships. Being able to stage this event in Brussels, as part of the celebrations marking Belgium’s bicentenary, will make it even more special and prestigious.
“I am convinced that, with its speed, intensity and the excitement it generates among spectators, indoor hockey is an important and highly valued discipline within our sport.
“The show and experience that will be offered in January 2030 promise to be truly unforgettable. Moreover, our Indoor Red Panthers and Indoor Red Lions now have a wonderful target on the horizon and four years to prepare themselves in the best possible way to shine in front of their home crowd.”
Who qualifies for the EuroHockey Indoor Championships 2030 will be determined by the outcome of January 2028’s championships in Vienna (women) and Gniezno (men).
