EuroHockey Solidarity Grant application window open

The window to apply for a EuroHockey Solidarity Grant – supported by the European Union – is now open until January 31st to support member national associations to shape their own projects.

Solidarity Grants have proven a huge success since their introduction in 2021, allowing some excellent projects to get off the ground Including the development of coaching pathways, umpiring pathways and schools’ programmes.

The solidarity grants began as an open application process with national associations able to apply at any time of the year but then changed to two windows of application.

After consultation with the EuroHockey Development Committee, we have now brought this down to one single application window. This window will take place in January each year.

The nominations for 2024 are now open and we look forward to receiving the applications from our members. The development leads for each national association have been sent the link to nominate their project.

EuroHockey is limited in the number of grants it is able to award each year so we encourage national associations to take their time in writing their application, ensuring it has a clear strategic focus and will lead to a sustainable legacy beyond the length of the grant.

EuroHockey and the selection group will look for projects that are well-thought out, strategic and, where possible, align with the priorities of your sports ministries and National Olympic Committees.

The deadline for applications is the 31st January at 5pm (CET).

Once the window is closed, the applications will be gathered and the decision will be made by a select panel of development committee members whose national associations have not been nominated for a project in this window.

Following this, all national associations will be contacted to announce the decision of this year’s grants and then EuroHockey staff will work with the successful national associations to execute their project.
