Welcome message from the Chair, Jean Christoph Capelle

Ours is a new Committee established after the General Assembly in Dusseldorf in August 2011.

Our members are:

The function of the Committee is to provide a ‘think-tank’ of young vibrant hockey volunteers (many of whom are working for our Member Associations), and to consider how best to:

To promote Hockey as a sport in Europe and to promote the work of the EHF

To develop communications plans in conjunction with the EHF’s strategic plan

To administer and manage content on the EHF’s website and all new Media (Face book, twitter etc)

To provide a results service for all 35-40 EuroHockey Tournaments each year

To ensure the quality of EuroHockey events and competitions and stimulate the continuous improvement of these events for players, spectators, officials and partners

To foster good relations with the media i.e. TV (satellite and terrestrial), newspapers, radio and ensure good working conditions for the media at EuroHockey events.

We held our first meeting on 31^st March 2012 in the EHF Office in Brussels and it was the perfect opportunity for the Committee to introduce themselves, explain our expertise and most importantly advise the Committee what we would contribute to the Committee!

Several Projects were discussed and the following workload was distributed with feeback due on 21^st May in advance of our next meeting – A Skype meeting on 31^st May:

An exciting time ahead, and a real opportunity for this Committee to contribute to every aspect of the workings of the EHF to make us more efficient, with better events whilst promoting and growing hockey in Europe.
