The Seminar was opened by Jorge Alcover, Vice President of the European Hockey Federation (photo) , who welcomed all the participants on behalf of European Hockey Federation and by Ana Tuero Vigil, Chairman of the EHF Umpire Development Committee. Ray O’Connor and Stefano Bresciani conducted the Seminar by introducing tools for organising and/or developing the umpiring structure in their country to the attendance, with especial reference to the Hockey Rules Video Library (www.darthish.tv/fih). The feedback of the delegates about the Seminar was very good. They were very happy with the practice sessions and found the theory sessions really useful for their own work in their country. The Seminar has been funded by the National Association participants, the EHF and the FIH.
