Less than four weeks until KO16 in Rotterdam PDF Print E-mail

ehllogoDutch champions Amsterdam H&BC stay first in Hoofdklasse after they have drawn with Bloemendaal 2-2. Teun de Nooijer’s team lead by 2-0 but a double strike from Amsterdam’s national player Billy Bakker secured one point for AH&BC. Losing their second successive match, third placed H.C. Rotterdam went down 4-5 to Kampong.

East Grinstead continue dominating the England Hockey League brushing aside Hampstead and Westminster with ease, scoring eleven goals through nine different players in an 11-1 victory. The English champions Beeston knew they had to win to keep any hope of taking the title alive and they did just that with a narrow 2-1 win over Loughborough students. Reading leapfrogged Surbiton after beating them 4-3 with Richard Mantell scoring twice.

RC de Polo de Barcelona won the Catalonian championship, defeating Atletic Terrassa 4-3 on penalties in the final. The last time Polo became Catalonian champions was in 2008. Club Egara took the third place after beating CD Terrassa 7-2.

Many of these teams play off in the KO16. Information on how to purchase your KO16 tickets is available in the EHL ticket section.
